Golden Blood is published!
I had so much fun writing a vampire story and creating something fresh and new in a genre dominated by either romance or European folklore. I have already gained a few review, such as this one here from Sherry @ Fundinmental.
Here is a little of what Sherry said:
I love what Tim Vee has done with Golden Blood. I would not change anything. These are not your Twilight vampires. Tim has some of the most vivid descriptions and I can see the flies buzzing, skin sloughing offโฆ
…I would have read it in one sitting, if I could have, but I did read until the wee hours of the morning.
This feedback is thrilling for me, and has really energized me.
Golden Blood is available for FREE here.
Talking of being energized…I have started work on a few new stories. I am working on a science fiction / dystopian story with the working title Bocanegra Above the Clouds.
The story is set in Earth’s distant and ruined future, where the world is plunged into perpetual gloom and rain from a thick layer of clouds. It is about Squirt, a hunter for a clan who lives underground in sewer pipes and abandoned subway tunnels, the strange towers that pierce the clouds, and her dreams of a better life for her and her sister.
Ultimately, Above the Clouds is a story of survival and self-discovery in a post-apocalyptic world where characters search for identity, humanity, and purpose amid the remains of a ruined world. I have a few chapters to finish, and I think this might be the next story I will release early in 2025.
I have also been working on a short story, Under Wild Skies, about an American author living in Paris in the 1920s and the fallout of his war experiences, alcoholism, ego, and the pursuit of happiness.
I have about half of this story written and will probably finish it off later in the year or early next year.
I also have Age of Magic that I have completed, and I am letting it marinate before doing any more work on it. I plan on releasing this story next year, at some point…
For the next story I want to tackle, I am seriously considering the final (maybe!) installment of the Mr Amazing stories. The first two can be found here (Mr Amazing) and here (Janus). I will think about it – and let you know.
Have fun – and I hope you find something to read that you enjoy!
Thanks so much for sharing my review. I absolutely loved Golden Blood. Definitely be looking forward to reading more of your work. Good luck and I wish you many sales.
