After a few months off from writing, I am back in the saddle, and the clickety-clack of my laptop’s keyboard is playing again. After finishing Golden Blood, I took a bit of time off writing to reflect on my work and to read a whole lot of stories, and to let some ideas percolate and stew.
So far, I am enjoying the new story I am working on, a dark fantasy called An Age of Magic. The story is ultimately about a dark warlock and a good witch and their battle to control the destiny of the Isle of Tristland, but I am going to take my time with the storytelling and all the other fun stuff.
So far, I have a couple of chapters written. I will continue working on this one throughout the rest of this year and will probably publish it sometime in 2025.
The next work I will publish will be Golden Blood, published in October 2024. Golden Blood isn’t a long story (50k words), but I have enjoyed writing and editing it immensely. The story is so bleak and dark and yet, at the same time, so beautiful. I am immensely proud of it, and I cannot wait for you to have a chance to read it.
