I have completed the first draft of Golden Blood, and I am happy with the way it all came together. I struggled with this story a bit – with lots of zigs and zags regarding the plot and arcs and the ending, which eluded me.
I have sent my son a copy of Golden Blood to read, and I will not continue working on it until I get his feedback (which is probably a lie!)
The next story I will start is Christmas Inc. – a satirical look at capitalism, populist politics, slave labor, America, the cult of the billionaire, illegal immigration…and Christmas!
I have the story pretty much worked out in my head, and I am looking forward to getting started on this one, as I think it will be quite a funny and enjoyable story to work on.
Regarding the publication schedule for the rest of the year, I will move ahead and publish Janus over the summer. I am going to release Golden Blood to coincide with Halloween and Christmas Inc. I will release after Thanksgiving as a nice cheery end to the year.
I think after Christmas Inc. I will start work on The Special Ones – a fantasy story about children being affected by alien radiation from a passing comet.
