Up here, in the frozen north, it is freezing! But that’s not so bad, I guess, as it is the middle of winter. I will say though, I am looking forward to spring and going out for a bike ride.
I had planned a winter project with the cold, snowy, sleety weather in mind, and I have been busy converting my story, Age of Magic, into an audiobook.
I am really enjoying this project, and I am enjoying wearing the ‘sound engineer’ hat, and learning about mastering and a hundred other audio things I didn’t know about until about a month ago.
My friend, Magnus Lang, is providing the voice talent, and I am pleased with the way the whole deal is coming together.
So far, we have about 5 hours recorded, with probably another 3 hours more to record, and then it will be time to publish, and the story will come to life for a new audience.
I have also been doing a bit of writing here and there, and I am working on the sequel to The Mistress, which I published about a week ago. I have received a couple of reviews, and the feedback so far is positive.
The second part of the story will be a bit of a departure from the first, with a new setting (Terra), new characters, some old characters from the first part, and a faster pace. I have to say, I am loving writing tech-noir espionage thrillers, and, so far, I am loving writing Terra.
I am hoping to have Age of Magic ready for publication in March, and will post links here when it is available for download.
Well, that’s it for February. I am going to get back to making snowmen.
Have fun!
